This is the latest NOMAD Jukebox Zen firmware v1.12.02 for users using Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium and Windows XP. This version replaces v1.11.04. This firmware does not work for NOMAD Jukebox Zen USB 2.0.

Firmware enhancement includes:

Direct Audio Track Transfer between Players via 1394 port
You can now transfer audio tracks directly from your NOMAD Jukebox Zen to another NOMAD Jukebox Zen or NOMAD Jukebox 3, without connecting the players to a computer. You will need a 1394 4-pin to 4-pin cable to connect two Jukebox. The only audio tracks you cannot copy are protected tracks, such as pre-loaded tracks.

Separating a Recording into several Tracks
You can now split a long recording into several tracks by pressing the Forward button during recording. This will close the current track, and recording will continue seamlessly in a new track.

Improved Scroller Sensitivity
Navigating through the Music Library is now easier thanks to accelerated scrolling. When you turn the scroller quickly, your player will scroll through menu options much faster than before.

More Backlight Duration Options
"30 sec" and "60 sec" options for backlight duration are now available on the Power Settings window

Upgrading the Firmware

1) Be sure that you have connected the power (DC) adapter to your player.
2) Attach your player to your computer with a USB or IEEE 1394 cable.
3) Close all other software applications (including PlayCenter 3 software and Creative File Manager software).
4) Click the ZenUniversalUpgrade_1_12_02.exe file.
5) Follow the onscreen instructions.
6) When Windows informs you that the player is detected, click the Upgrade button.
7) When the "Player is now rebooting" message appears on your computer, and the "Please Reset Player" message appears on your player's screen, your player will automatically reset itself.
8) Click the Close button.
9) Detached your player from your computer.
