Preparing for updates

Prepare the target digital camera.

Prepare a formatted memory card.
The firmware updating procedure requires a formatted memory card. Refer to the Owner¡¯s Manual for information on using "FORMAT" in the SET-UP menu to format a media.

Firmware version checking procedure

Insert a blank formatted media in the camera. Turn on your "Camera" while holding down the [DISP/BACK] button. The number will displayed "CURRENT" showing the camera¡¯s current firmware version.
After checking the firmware version, press the [MENU/OK] button and then turn off your camera.
