Support for 802.11ac draft specification
This release of Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software, with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 adapter, supports the 802.11ac draft specification.
Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth High Speed Protocol
This release of Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software includes support for Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth High Speed Protocol. Bluetooth High Speed Protocol supports theoretical data transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbit/s, using the Bluetooth link for negotiation and establishment and 802.11 link for the high data rate traffic.
Intel My WiFi Technology Software
This release of Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software includes the Intel My WiFi Technology application. The Intel My WiFi Technology application uses your Intel wireless WiFi adapter to connect to other devices with Wi-Fi Direct*. You can connect up to eight other devices to your laptop computer, all while maintaining your WiFi wireless connection to the Internet. You can choose to install the Intel My WiFi Technology application at the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software Installer screen. See Known Issues and Limitations in this document for related information.
