Wireless Manager application and drivers for GC79 GPRS/Wireless LAN PC Card for USA consumers only.

Installation instructions

To install the GC79 GPRS/Wireless LAN PC Card:
1. Download the 3.2.3.1414_GC79_USA_R1A.zip file.
2. Extract the 3.2.3.1414_GC79_USA_R1A.zip file in the zip to a spare folder on your notebook computer.
3. Remove the GC79 GPRS/Wireless LAN PC Card from your notebook computer.
4. Run setup.exe.
5. The setup process will appear to pause at 65%. Do not hit cancel – the drivers are being copied to your hard drive. The install process will complete after a couple of minutes.

How to use
After installing the Wireless Manager and drivers:
1. Insert the SIM card into your GC79 card.
2. Insert the GC79 GPRS/Wireless LAN PC Card into your notebook card slot.
3. Drivers will be installed. If necessary click 'next... Finish' in the New Hardware Wizard.
4. Create / configure a connection:
A. Click on the Connection Wizard icon.
B. Select 'Create a New Connection', give it a title, and press the 'Next' button.
C. Choose the GPRS connection type, identify your network, and press the 'Next' button.
D. The Access Point Name (APN) default should be there, press the 'Next' button.
E. The 'User ID' and 'Password' defaults should be there; press the 'Next' button.
F. Press the 'Finish' button to complete the connection.
5. The signal strength indicator bars and green triangle which indicates GPRS should be visible in the top left hand corner of the application. Good signal strength enables the connection to operate faster. Select the connection that you created. Press the Connect button and view the connection status below the Connect / Cancel button. To the left you should also see the words 'Initializing.' and then 'Connecting to title'. Allow up to a minute for the connection to be ready for use.
6. To configure and use the WLAN features, double-click the W icon in the Windows status tray at the bottom right of the screen.
