* Compatible with WPA (Wi-Fi® Protected Access) - Only for the Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition and Windows® XP Professional operating systems.

How To Update

To access to the Access Point Setup page to update the firmware, it is necessary to connect to the Access Point via Wireless or with a cross over-cable. Do not set the proxy setting on the web browser. While updating the software, do not power off the Access Point or the device may be rendered inoperable.

1. Connect the computer containing the firmware update to the PCWA-AR300 Access Point via wireless connection or by a cross-over cable.
2. Open the Access Point Setup page.
3. At the Wireless Panel window, click Management.
4. At the "Management" page, click Update.
5. At the "Status" page, confirm the firmware version.
6. Click "Browse" and navigate to the directory to which the Firmware update was saved, and then select the PCWA-A320-010702.BIN file. Do not select a file other than a firmware file for the Access Point. If you do so, the Access Point may no longer operate normally.
7. Click "Next". Please wait as the file transferring is completed and the "Firmware Update Confirmation" page appears.
8. At the "Firmware Update Confirmation", verify that the firmware is listed as version 1.7.2
* If the firmware version listed is not 1.7.2, click the "Back" button to return to the previous page, and repeat steps 6 and 7.
* If the firmware version listed is 1.7.2, continue with the next step.
9. At the "Firmware Update Confirmation" page, click Execute. The status indicator on the Access Point will blink red while the firmware is in the process of being updated. During this update process be very careful not to turn off the power. If the power inadvertently turns off during the firmware upgrade, the device will be harmed and may no longer work properly.
NOTES: If the firmware update fails, confirm that the file selected in step 6 is the correct one, and go through the update process again.
10. The Access Point will reboot automatically. Please wait a few moments. When the STATUS indicator of the Access Point (Wireless Unit) changes to flashing white, the Access Point has resumed normal operation.
11. Close your Web browser, and then reopen it.
12. Return to the Status page to verify the firmware version.
13. Close the Web Browser.

NOTE: If the firmware version is not 1.7.2, please download and install this firmware update again..
