Requirements
Infrared, Bluetooth or serial connection support on your PC.
Remove prior P800/P802 modem scripts, i.e. defined modems for P800/P802 in Phone and Modem Options.
Installation instructions
1. Download the P800-P802_ModemScripts_1.2.0.1.zip file to your PC remember where you place it.
2. Unzip the P800-P802_ModemScripts_1.2.0.1.zip file.
3. Follow the instructions below to complete the installation.
How to use
When connecting the P800/P802 phone via IR follow these steps:
Start the Dial-Up Networking (DUN) wizard from Start/Programs/Sony Ericsson.
To use the DUN Wizard on XP you have to update the standard modem installed by default and instead install the correct modem.
The modem that gets installed if placing the P800/P802 phone at the IR eye is a standard IR modem (this is a known Microsoft problem). To be able to use your P800/P802 phone as a modem please try the solution below:
1. Open 'Phone and Modem Options' in the Control Panel.
2. Check on what COM port the standard IR modem has been placed (this is the COM port that the Phone's IR modem should be connected to).
3. Mark the Standard IR modem.
4. Click 'Properties', Click 'Driver', and 'Update Driver'.
5. Choose 'Install from a specific location', Click Next.
6. Choose 'Don't search I will choose driver to install'.
7. Click 'Have Disk'.
8. Point towards the Phone's IR modem script. Click Next.
9. Click continue anyway when the installation warning is displayed the modem drivers are fully tested, digital signatures for these modems are not available at present.
