This download is a self extracting executable dmg file that contains a firmware updater utility for the My Book Pro II Dual-drive System.

Supported Operating Systems: Mac OS 10.4.x or 10.5.x

1. Disconnect all other external drives from the computer except for one My Book Pro II Edition hard drive.
2. Ensure that the My Book Pro II Edition hard drive is connected to a USB port.
3. Select the file WD_MB_Pro_II_0108a_1_02.dmg. Click on the Download button to download the file. Download the file to your desktop.
4. Double-click on the file named WD_MB_Pro_II_0108a_1_02.dmg.
5. WD_MB_Pro_II_0108a_1_02 Drive Image will be mounted to the desktop.
6. Double click the WD_MB_Pro_II_0108a_1_02 Firmware Updater.
7. If needed, type in your system password. The firmware updater program will scan the USB bus for any applicable hard drives.
8. Once found, click on the Upgrade button.
9. Download and install the latest WD Drive Manager program.
10. Please remove the USB and power cable from the My Book device. Wait 10 seconds and then connect the power cable and USB cable to the My Book device.
11. The Operating System should recognize a new device and install drivers automatically. Please follow the onscreen prompts shown reinstall the My Book device.
