This program will install the Scan Utility.
If you are using a computer with a network other than the one you use to connect to the Access Point, temporarily disable all network adapters, except the one you use to connect to the Access Point, before using Scan Utility.
* If you are connected to the Internet via PPPoE without DSL Router, temporarily break the PPPoE connection before using Scan Utility. Since a virtual network interface is generated with you connected to the Internet via PPPoE, the Access Point may not be detected when you use the Scan Utility software supplied with this product to search for the Access Point. To determine whether PPPoE is used for your Internet connection, refer to the documentation provided by your Internet Service Provider.
* The steps below may vary slightly by operating system.
* For Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows® 2000 operating systems only: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
* To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
* It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
* If either a "Severe" error or "Software Status" message box appears, please check the list of Known Issues .
