This package updates the UEFI BIOS (including system program and Embedded Controller program) stored in the ThinkPad computer to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.

Problem fixes in this release version 2.59:

  1. Fixed an issue that might fail to boot the computer from the USB device.
  2. Fixed an issue where the WMI interface has incorrect messages.
  3. Fixed an issue where the mouse pointer might be moved when the lid was closed.
  4. Fixed an issue where the computer might not resume normal operation from sleep state.
  5. Fixed an issue where the CPU clock might stay at the lowest frequency.
