Installation instructions
1. Download the zip file to your computer remember where you place it.
2. Unzip the erit39.zip file.
3. Follow the instructions below to complete the installation.
How to use
Connect the T39 phone via IR.
Install the modem (either through the Phone and modem options or by use of the Dial-Up Networking Wizard). Set up a Dial-Up Connection (Use the Dial-Up Networking wizard to make it as simple as possible).
Use your T39 phone as a modem.
To use the IR modem on windows XP/2000 and you have to update the standard modem installed by default and instead install the correct IR modem.
The modem that gets installed if placing the T39 phone at the IR eye is a standard IR modem (this is a known Microsoft problem) to be able to use your T39 phone as a modem please try the solution below:
1. Open 'Phone and Modem Options' in the Control Panel.
2. Check on what COM port the standard IR modem has been connected to (this is the COM port that the phone's IR modem should be connected to).
3. Mark the Standard IR modem.
4. Click 'Properties', Click 'Driver', and 'Update Driver'.
5. Choose 'Install from a specific location', Click Next.
6. Choose 'Don't search I will choose driver to install'. Click 'Have Disk'.
7. Point towards the T39 phone's IR modem script (the downloaded erit39.zip file).
8. Click Next.
9. Click continue anyway when the installation warning is displayed the modem drivers are fully tested. Digital signatures for these modems are not available at present.
