HP Color LaserJet CM1015 MFP Printer Firmware Update Utility for Mac OS X

The CM1015/1017MFP Flash Firmware Update Utility was created to provide fixes for the issues listed below in the Firmware Enhancement section. This utility is for use on Mac OS X 10.3x, 10.4.x and later.

These changes below, are implemented in firmware date code 20061120

* Correction: display total memory in printer on configuration report
* Removed HP logo from internal report pages
* Correction to prevent toner cartridge e-label corruption (11% toner fix)

The 20061120 firmware update also includes the following issues, fixed in a previous firmware update.

* Copy quality calibration improvement
* Corrected localization of Russian and other demo page
* Color Graphical Display occasionally blank on power up
* PCL5 Font DIMM compatibility added.

This utility is for use on Mac OS X 10.3x, 10.4.x and later. It can ONLY be used with a USB connection to the HP CM1015 / 1017 MFP printer. Please use a 2 meter (6 foot) USB High speed (2.0) cable.

* The HP Color LaserJet CM1015/1017 MFP printer must be turned on and in a READY state as shown by the LCD display on the control panel and remain powered on during the entire firmware update process.
* Depending on the speed of your Mac, the firmware update process may complete on the printer, before the progress bar on the screen completes.
* Once the update process has started, do not use your Mac for any other activity until the process is complete.
* Do Not power cycle the printer or the Mac until the firmware update process is complete.
* For users connected via the network, please temporarily disconnect your HP CM 1015 / 1017 MFP printer from the network to ensure the network devices do not interrupt the firmware update process.
