The HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility was created to help users easily troubleshoot and correct commonly experienced printer hardware usage problems and error conditions such as:
- Paper Jam
- Carriage Stall
- Original (document feeder) Jam
- Out of Paper
- Paper Mismatch
- Blinking Lights
- Door Open
- Print Quality
If your product is connected to your computer using a USB cable, HP recommends that you install the HP driver software prior to using the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility in order to get the full benefit of the utility. Network connected devices do not need a driver installed to take full advantage of this utility.
Simply run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions.
Fix/Enhancement:
This updated version of the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility adds support for Windows 8.
